Valzhyna Mort
Valzhyna Mort was born in Minsk, Belarus. She is the author of two collections of poetry, Factory of Tears and Collected Body (Copper Canyon Press, 2008 and 2011). Mort has received the Lannan Foundation Literary Fellowship, the Bess Hokin Prize from Poetry Magazine, and the Burda Prize for Eastern European authors. Her new book, Music for the Dead and Resurrected, is forthcoming from FSG.
