Kristina Buch

Kristina Buch (b. 1983), Germany, lives and works in Düsseldorf, on secret islands and sometimes in London. She holds a degree in biology and studied protestant theology before doing her MA at the Royal College of Art, London, and studying with Rosemarie Trockel at the Academy of Fine Arts, Düsseldorf. 
She was the youngest participant at dOCUMENTA(13) and has shown her work at Urbane Künste Ruhr (2014), Kölnischer Kunstverein (2014), Emily Harvey Foundation New York (2013), Manifesta 9 Parallel Events (2012), The German Embassy London (2010) among others. Buch was awarded the Trieste Young European Artist Award in 2012. 
She taught at Imperial College London until 2012. In 2013 she received an assistant professorship at Goethe University in Frankfurt.
